68 Symposium

October 23, 2018, the Movement 68 Symposium honored 50 years of black student activism at Middle Tennessee State University. The Albert Gore Research Center invited six MTSU alumni to participate in a panel discussion on their experiences as students from 1968 to the present day. Lae’l Hughes-Watkins, University Archivist at Kent State University and founder of Project STAND , was the keynote speaker. See video here.
